New Marvel’s Wolverine Story Trailer Shines The Spotlight On Jean Grey, Sabretooth & More
Marvel’s Wolverine has received a new trailer during the San Diego Comic-Con this week, which gives us a lot more insight into the game’s story and what appears to be a redesigned look for Logan himself (looking slightly less animalistic than previous footage). We’re also treated to new looks at Sabretooth, Jean Grey, and other key characters from the game.

Marvel’s Wolverine is scheduled for release on September 15, 2026. The game’s director previously stated that, unlike Insomniac’s previous titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man, Wolverine is going to be a linear action-adventure game and not a sprawling open-world affair. Furthermore, New Game Plus mode is included in Marvel’s Wolverine from day one.
The game serves as a standalone entry based on the popular anti-hero, telling a self-contained story but shares continuity with the other Marvel games from Insomniac. Players control James ‘Logan’ Howlett, aka Wolverine (played by Liam McIntyre), a mutant with regenerative healing powers and retractable claws that embarks a globe-trotting journey as he brushers shoulders with other iconic characters such as Mystique, Omega Red, and the Sentinels.
