Rippling co-founder Prasanna Sankar’s AI startup Vorflux raises $15 Mn

Prasanna Sankar, founder of 0xPPL and co-founder of HR software platform Rippling, has launched a new AI startup, Vorflux, raising $15 million in a seed funding round led by Y Combinator, Peak XV Partners, Powerset, Alliance, and angel investors including Parker Conrad, Immad Akhund, and Balaji Srinivasan.

According to Sankar’s LinkedIn post, Vorflux is building an AI powered platform to automate the software development lifecycle. The startup aims to move beyond AI coding assistants by developing an “autopilot” system capable of handling planning, coding, testing, code reviews, and deployment.

Sankar said existing AI coding tools still require engineers to oversee much of the development process, whereas Vorflux is designed to automate these workflows and reduce manual intervention. The platform leverages third party AI models while applying a company’s engineering standards and internal workflows across software development tasks.

Vorflux comes after the shutdown of Sankar’s previous venture, 0xPPL. Sankar co founded Rippling in 2016 and served as its CTO before leaving the company in July 2020.

Through Vorflux, he is targeting the growing market for AI powered software engineering tools as enterprises increasingly adopt AI across their development operations.
