Sony announces PS Plus free games for August 2026
Sony has officially revealed the next lineup of free games coming to PlayStation Plus next month. According to the announcement, subscribers will be able to claim three new titles at no extra cost, giving members a mix of action, co-op, and survival horror experiences.
PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for August 2026
The biggest title in the lineup is Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition for PS5 and PS4. The game takes players to a post-apocalyptic city where humanity is struggling to survive after a deadly virus has turned most of the population into monsters. You play as Aiden Caldwell, a survivor with unique abilities who is searching for answers about his past while becoming caught in a conflict between rival factions.
PS5 players will also receive Big Walk, a cooperative multiplayer adventure built around teamwork and communication. Instead of focusing on combat, the game encourages players to explore a large open world filled with puzzles, secrets, and environmental challenges.
The third game is Signalis for PS4, a critically praised psychological survival horror title. Players step into the role of Elster, a technician Replika who awakens in a mysterious retro-futuristic world while searching for her missing partner. As the story unfolds, players will explore eerie locations, solve challenging puzzles, manage limited resources, and survive terrifying creatures.
In addition to the monthly games, Sony has also announced a bonus reward for PlayStation Plus members. Starting August 6, subscribers will be able to claim the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls PlayStation Plus Pack from the PlayStation Store, which includes five PlayStation Network avatars featuring Captain America, Storm, Spider-Man, and more. It also comes with a collection of in-game result screen character poses for 20 different fighters, including Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, Peni Parker, and several others.
That said, Sony has confirmed that all three monthly games will become available for PlayStation Plus members on August 4, and you’ll have until August 31 to add them to your library. In the meantime, make sure to claim July 2026’s free games before they are gone.
