Team Vision Crowned TFT Esports World Cup 2026 Champions After Dominant Grand Final

Team Vision completed an impressive lower-bracket run by defeating Aurora Gaming 3-0 and won the TFT Esports World Cup 2026.

The Chinese roster took home the $150,000 grand prize and earned 1,000 Club Championship points following five days of competition at the Paris Expo in Paris. Yan “Flancy” Lingyu was also named the competition’s MVP, earning an additional $25,000 for his performance throughout the event.

With this win, Team Vision also leveled with Natus Vincere at the top of the EWC Club Championship standings on 1,750 points. However, with TFT being the final game in which Team Vision are competing at EWC 2026, the organisation will likely drop a few positions in the standings in the coming weeks.

Team Vision complete lower-bracket run at EWC 2026

After losing to Flash Wolves during the group stage, Team Vision dropped into the lower bracket and faced elimination against T1. Team Vision responded with a convincing 2-0 victory, securing their place in the playoffs.

They then defeated Virtus.pro 2-1 in the quarterfinals before being matched against Flash Wolves once again. Unlike the first time, Team Vision came out on top, booking their place in the Grand Final.

According to the players, the initial defeat to Flash Wolves was a key to their run: “The match that left the deepest impression on us was definitely the group-stage game against Flash Wolves,” Team Vision explained after the final.

The team explained that the loss helped them identify one weakness they had not previously recognized: “We reflected on our weaknesses, made adjustments, and fixed the problems that we had.”

Team Vision sweeps Aurora Gaming in Grand Final

Aurora Gaming entered the grand final with strong momentum after defeating the previous defending champions Weibo Gaming. Led by the recent Tactician’s Crown champion Ge “Huanmie” Wuxin, Aurora was supposed to be the favorite in the series.

Team Vision, however, dictated the pace in every single game by establishing advantages in the early stages, forcing Aurora to always be on the back foot. The team also did well at shutting Huanmie down, who often was the high-cap player.

Even when victory appeared close, Team Vision was still focused on not making any mistakes. In the last game of the series, Team Vision only had Zhenbai left surviving in the lobby against two Aurora Gaming players. Despite that, he was able to survive and knocked both out with single-digit HP left.

“We kept reminding the players who were still alive not to relax,” said Flancy and MoGG. “We wanted to eliminate every possible way that we could lose. Only after thinking through all of those possibilities and ruling them out were we comfortable leaving the responsibility to ZhenBai.”

Team Vision Explain the reason behind the TFT Esports World Cup 2026 title

Team Vision highlighted preparation and execution as the two biggest reasons behind their success in Paris. “I think the most important factor was that we prepared seriously enough,” they said. “Our tactical preparation and our execution on stage were the strongest among all of the teams.”

Their approach involved playing a large number of scrims and deliberately testing different strategies across the tournament patch.

“We made every mistake that we possibly could during scrims,” the players explained. “Because we had already made those mistakes, we knew how to solve those situations when they appeared during the actual competition.”

MoGG also revealed that Team Vision’s familiarity with Aurora Gaming helped them prepare for the final. “We were able to win the title because we understood the opposing team very well,” he said. “We had been scrim partners with them, and that helped us take the victory.”

Flancy named TFT EWC 2026 MVP

Even though Flancy was named the MVP of the tournament, the captain quickly shared that recognition with the rest of the roster.

“I would like to believe that this MVP was deserved by everyone on my team,” he said. “In the 4v4 format, we were able to pull through together. I also want to thank the fans and all of the people behind the camera. This MVP is for you.”

More TFT 4v4 tournaments in the future?

Speaking of the TFT 4v4 format, the players also expressed their hope of seeing more team-based competitions in the future: “I really love 4v4, and I hope Riot can organise more tournaments in this format,” they said. “There are players who seriously specialise in 4v4 and want the chance to show what they can do.”

When asked about the differences between 4v4 and individual tournaments, the players explained that the team format allows players to take greater risks.

“In an individual tournament, you always have to be more careful about your health when trying to raise the ceiling of your board,” the players said. “In 4v4, because your teammates can help protect you, you can be more aggressive when trying to create a higher-cap board.”

Team Vision noted that some Korean competitors focus almost entirely on 4v4 competition and do not participate regularly in solo tournaments.

With EWC currently offering one of the few major stages for the format, those players have limited opportunities to compete. “If Riot hosted more 4v4 events, everyone would have more opportunities to develop,” Team Vision ended.
