Tech Trends: New Tools for AI Translation, Venue Sourcing & More

Event Technology We’re Excited About This Month

To extend real-time translation and captions beyond events into everyday work

Wordly has launched Workspaces, a new expansion of its AI translation platform that lets organizations deliver live translation and captions consistently across conferences, keynotes, workshops, and day-to-day business operations. Designed as a unified, enterprise-ready solution, Workspaces brings Wordly to every department through a single account—making it easier for event teams to extend language access from large-scale events into planning meetings, trainings, town halls, and ongoing internal and external communications, without adding new tools or licenses.

“Inclusion and accessibility shouldn’t end when the last session wraps,” said Lakshman Rathnam, founder and CEO of Wordly. “Workspaces gives event organizers the control to extend language access beyond the conference, ensuring the same experience continues across planning meetings, trainings, and everyday operations.”

To manage venue sourcing, room blocks, and event planning in one system

Navan has introduced advanced events functionality to its Meetings & Events platform through an integration with BoomPop, adding AI-driven venue sourcing and planning tools to its existing travel and expense ecosystem. The update allows organizers to source venues, negotiate room blocks, manage agendas, track RSVPs, and view total event costs alongside travel and expense data—closing a long-standing gap in how companies plan and manage group events. The advanced events tools are currently available in beta for U.S. customers, with broader rollout planned.

“The events industry has been held back by fragmented technology for too long,” said Healey Cypher, CEO of BoomPop. “Navan solved the travel and expense piece, and BoomPop mastered AI-driven venue sourcing and event execution. Federating our offerings together gives planners a single source of truth and a tool that gives them back their most valuable resource: time.”

To build event apps and digital tools that perform under real-world conditions

Connected Event Group has launched Connected Apps, a new arm of the business focused on building custom event apps, fast websites, business tools, and AI-powered automation designed specifically for live, high-pressure event environments. Developed by teams with more than two decades of hands-on production experience, Connected Apps is designed around the realities of onsite delivery, including tight build schedules, unreliable connectivity, shared hardware, and high-stakes moments where technology failures can directly impact audience experience and brand reputation. The offering spans conference and exhibition apps, festival and brand activation tools, interactive touchscreen and multi-screen experiences, mobile-first event websites, and workflow automation that reduces manual effort for event teams.

The guide showcases practical ideas such as phone-as-controller games, RFID-powered interactions, step-based challenges that unlock rewards, interactive mosaics, and live polling tied to stage moments—each paired with clear notes on feasibility, timelines, and audience impact.

To move event tech from engagement metrics to real-time intelligence

Singapore-based event tech company Jublia has reintroduced itself as Jublia AI, signaling a deeper shift from traditional engagement tools toward what the company calls event engagement intelligence. Rather than focusing solely on clicks, scans, or dashboards, the newly rearchitected, AI-native platform is designed to understand context across agendas, exhibitors, and attendee behavior, then adapt and respond in real time. Central to the update is a prompt-based experience that lets attendees, exhibitors, and organizers ask questions in natural language across apps, websites, and on-site touchpoints, alongside new capabilities for capturing intent-driven insights and enabling organizers to actively train the system to improve outcomes over time.

The next era belongs to intelligence: events that understand context, adapt in real time, and act when people need answers.”
