BLAST Bounty Season 2 2026 Grand Final Preview: Spirit Or MOUZ?
MOUZ’s miracle run at BLAST Bounty Season 2 with a new roster and a recently appointed in-game leader had more uncertainty than expectation. But now, they are just one series away from a trophy. But the final boss in front of them is Spirit, who arrive with a different kind of burden. Once Vitality and Falcons were knocked out, it was Spirit who was expected to lift the trophy. And certainly, on paper, this should be their final to lose, and every single indicator points to them winning.
The two teams’ path to the final
MOUZ were flawless online, beating Nuclear TigeRES and FOKUS 2-0. At the LAN finals, however, their run became far more difficult. They lost Dust2 to 3DMAX, survived a triple-overtime Nuke 22–18 and then dominated Inferno 13-3. Against Astralis, they recovered from a heavy Ancient defeat to win Mirage and Dust2.
Their resilience can be deemed impressive, but their control can not. MOUZ have lost anti-ecos, surrendered advantageous positions, and nearly allowed Astralis to recover from a 12-2 deficit on Dust2. Spirit’s route has also contained instability, dropping maps to OG, 100 Thieves and FaZe, but their response has often been brutal. At the LAN finals, Spirit swept Liquid before surviving FaZe in the semifinal. donk finished that series with only a 0.94 rating, yet Spirit still won. sh1ro posted a 1.24 rating, and the team recovered from 10-5 down on Anubis. That may be the most important sign of all. Spirit no longer need donk to dominate every map in order to win.
MOUZ’s major strength but even bigger problem

torzsi has been the central figure in MOUZ’s run. During the online stage, he averaged a 1.48 rating, and even at Finals, he has held strong with a 1.32 rating. He has answered the call well and will definitely prove to be the difference-maker against Spirit. But the biggest problem is that I feel sh1ro counters his playstyle perfectly.
And he has been in form too, averaging a solid 1.17 rating this tournament. He was the player who kept Spirit alive when donk struggled against FaZe. But if torzsi can neutralize him, MOUZ can force Spirit to depend more heavily on aggressive rifle entries.
Spinx will also be crucial. He posted a 1.18 rating against Astralis and remains MOUZ’s most dependable late-round player. His experience will be especially important when Spirit begin targeting PR and xelex, searching for weaknesses in the new lineup.
donk is still the most dangerous player on the server. Much like his standard has been, he has been averaging a 1.41 across the two stages. MOUZ cannot build a plan around completely stopping donk. FaZe held him to a 0.94 rating and still lost. Instead, they should reduce the number of rounds he decides immediately. That means disciplined opening utility, fewer isolated fights, and no repeated challenges after he establishes control of an area.
The problem is that Spirit have more than donk. sh1ro can take over slow rounds, zont1x can close difficult situations, and tN1R can provide the stabilizing work. And the way this team is structured, it just appears to be a better version of MOUZ. This is why I doubt MOUZ can get anywhere in the series.
The head-to-head heavily favors Spirit too

Spirit have faced MOUZ three times in 2026 and won all three series 2–0. They defeated them at IEM Kraków, IEM Rio and PGL Astana. Across those six maps, Spirit have outscored MOUZ by a 78-29 difference in rounds, with Dust2 being particularly brutal.
And even though it is a different MOUZ lineup, with XertioN now leading, xelex entering the senior roster and PR joining shortly before this event, the cards are still stacked against them. This may give MOUZ some tactical unpredictability, but it does not erase the psychological weight of six consecutive map losses, and obviously, the sheer firepower on the Spirit ready to overpower them.
If you talk about the map pool, the most likely bans are Inferno from Spirit and Anubis from MOUZ. That would leave Dust2, Mirage, Nuke, Ancient and Cache. Getting the obvious one out, Dust2 will strongly favor Spirit. They have an 80% win rate over the last three months and have already beaten MOUZ three times on it this year. Mirage may be MOUZ’s best opportunity. Spirit still hold the stronger overall record, but they were crushed by 100 Thieves online, while MOUZ defeated FOKUS and Astralis. MOUZ need to target this map.
Nuke is less clear. MOUZ have played it more often, but their wins against Nuclear TigeRES and 3DMAX were uncomfortable. The last direct meeting ended 13-2 to Spirit. Then comes Ancient, which favors Spirit. MOUZ were beaten 13–6 by Astralis, while Spirit’s aggressive style and early-round control suit the map well. Finally, the unknown: Cache. Spirit have played it twice at this event, while MOUZ have not shown it. If by a miracle, the final reaches Cache late in the series, preparation and nerve may matter more than historical statistics.
