Why is Halo: Campaign Evolved Early Access Not Working?
If you paid the extra money, you might have secured yourself Halo: Campaign Evolved’s early access, allowing you to play a few days earlier than the intended worldwide launch. However, you might have encountered a rather annoying problem, and we have the latest details.
Halo: Campaign Evolved is out now…sort of.
Early access owners can play Halo: Campaign Evolved at this moment. Well, this was the intention, but within minutes of it going live, hundreds and thousands of players reported issues trying to sign in and play.
Why Can’t I Play Halo: Campaign Evolved Right Now?
Halo: Campaign Evolved’s early access is not working as intended due to a technical difficulty, and the issue has been addressed by the devs.
The official Halo Support page has acknowledged the issue and given an announcement.

‘We’re investigating reports that some players on XBOX consoles and the XBOX app for PC who purchased the #HaloCE Premium Edition or Premium Edition Upgrade are unable to access the game. We will share updates as soon as more information is available. Thank you for your patience.’
So, it’s simply a case of waiting until it universally works, unfortunately.
However, if you’re on PC, there might be a solution you can try.
Again, through Halo Support:
‘For Steam players who are experiencing the Digital Story & Art Collection launching instead of the Halo: Campaign Evolved main game, quit Steam completely and restart the Steam client. After restarting Steam, the correct launch options should appear for #HaloCE.’
One thing to address is whether there will be any compensation for all of you who are affected by this, because you’ve paid more money for access and been robbed of precious time.
